How to perform return QC grading to prevent defective items from returning to sellable inventory

When there are many warehouse returns, the biggest risk is shelving problematic items as good stock. Previously, for a small appliance SKU, a customer returned it saying the outer box was intact, so the warehouse put it directly back into sellable inventory.
