It's been raining heavily these days, and the doors and windows are a bit leaky. What can be used to repair them?

Don't rush to seal everything with caulk. I usually first determine if it's the window sash gap letting in wind, the outer frame leaking water, or the drainage hole being clogged. As a temporary fix, you can use weatherstrip/door sweep, and neutral silicone for frame cracks; but never block the weep hole at the bottom of the window, or rainwater won't be able to drain out.

Small gaps can be treated with weather-resistant silicone or foam sealant along with a sealing strip, but if the rainwater is seeping in from the back of the frame, simply applying sealant to the surface will leak again soon. For door and window leaks, first check if the sealing strip is aging or falling off. If the sealing strip becomes hard, broken, or loses its elasticity, you can directly purchase the same model of silicone or ternary ethylene-propylene rubber sealing strip to replace it, which is the simplest and most cost-effective repair method. If the leak is at the connection between the window frame and the wall, it may be that the external sealing glue (usually silicone weather-resistant glue) is cracked.
